{10 minute card}

I'm back with another quick and easy birthday card!  I used the paper scraps from my previous quick and easy card, a scrap of cardstock and some trim I've had for a while.

Happy Birthday To You
Paper: MME, Cardstock: The Paper Co, Sticker Sentiment: SRM, Punch: MS, Other: Hand stitching

I have to admit, this card looks much better in person, I think it is the ribbon that throws it off in the photo.  The hand stitching takes up some time, so you could substitute machine stitching or even faux stitching to make it even quicker.

I realized I haven't posted any photos of Lucky recently.  He is now almost 5 months old and weighs in at almost 5 pounds.  :)  He is a happy kitty who enjoys entertaining us.

Any sunny spot will do:

Hope happy finds you today!

{jump rope}

I have been having some fun with the SRM Tubes!  They are so versatile, so fun and so easy to create with!  I found this awesome pink and white rope at my local home improvement store and thought the mini tubes would make great handles for a jump rope!  And they did,  :)

All I did was drill a hole in the bottom of the tube, pulled the rope through and knotted it. I filled the tube with beads and twine for a jewelry making craft.  I used the We've Got Your Border stickers (Birthday) to decorate the tube.

I made a customized tag with colorful letter beads and more of the border stickers!

A cute birthday party favor and activity any young girl would love!

Happy Friday, friends!  I hope happy finds you in a great big way today!

{simple birthday}

Have you seen the new My Mind's Eye collection, Miss Caroline?  Divine.  Full of a somewhat country charm with beautiful spring colors, perfect for cards!  My self control got a good work out as I left my LSS without buying every single thing in the 3 collections!  The paper and embellies I did get will get put to good use making some birthday cards.

I made a very simple card today.  I combined a couple SRM Birthday Sentiments with a lovely piece of MME "Cute" from the 6x6 paper pad.

Happy Birthday

10 minutes is all it took to make this.  Easy peasy.  :)

Hope all is well with you, friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

{the studio} pinterest

It is Sunday at The Studio Challenges and Val has given us a fabulous photo for our Inspiration Challenge this week!

Isn't is lovely?  It is hard to imagine I could make a boy layout from all those beautiful flowers, but I did!  :)  I picked out some wonderful colors from the photo and used them for my layout.

Lucky
CS: Bazzill, Paper: MME, Letters: AC Thickers, Ribbon: Strano, Border and Sentiment Stickers: SRM, Label: Dymo

Brian is in 3rd grade and is my 3rd boy so I popped the little bingo marker in there for a bit of fun.  He is lucky that the school he goes to does these fun activities  once a month as a fundraiser.  He loved going to school with green hair!

I hope you will join us this month at The Studio Challenges! If you do both challenges this month you will be in the running for a GC from Scrapbook.com!  The team did an unbelievable job with this photo, head over to the blog to check out their layouts!

Happy Sunday friends!

{birthdays}

Not only do March and April bring warmer weather they bring a lot of birthdays our way.  As in the case of Old Mother Hubbard, I went to the cabinet and it was bare (of birthday cards!).   I love the texture on this simple card.  The flower (bought on clearance!) is so soft and pretty, the ribbon I used for the center is velvet and only 1/8" wide and I just love that I can use the glittered leaves I bought at Christmas time for a spring card!  That paper is new MME, from the Miss Caroline "Dolled Up" collection.  I've said it before, but I am so happy that manufacturers are making their papers in a 6x6 format!  That print wouldn't look near as good if I used a 12x12 piece of paper.

Happy Birthday

CS: Bazzill, Paper: MME, Sticker Sentiment: SRM, Flower: Jolee's, Ribbon: Maya Road,
Doily: LYB, Other: glittered leaves, machine stitching

I love the SRM Fancy Sentiment with this card!  I'm hoping to make a few more birthday cards over the weekend.  2 of my boys have birthdays early in April so you will see some boy cards in the near future!

I hope happy finds you in some little meaningful way today, friends! Thanks for stopping by!

{CAS-ual Fridays} SRM Style

SRM is sponsoring this week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays!  The challenge is to make a clean and simple card with a sentiment as the focal point.  I happen to think that any time an SRM sticker sentiment is used it is the focal point of a card, but I *might* be a little biased!  :)

My friend Amy and her boyfriend Jeff got engaged last week and this card is for them.  He made the sweetest You Tube video to propose to her - love in the computer age, right?  :)

Happy for You

Paper and Wood J-Spot: MME, Lace & Ribbon: Maya Road, Flower: Bazzill

Here is a close-up:

The deadline for this challenge is midnight tonight, I hope some of you can whip a card together for it!  I bought some new MME goodies today.  *sigh*  I just love the collections they have been creating and the fact that they all come in 6x6 pads makes me happy!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

{border me, baby} SRM

Have you seen SRM's new We've Got Your Border Stickers yet?  Great patterns, wonderful colors and so easy to use. They are versatile enough to use on cards, layouts and altered projects!  I used the Baby Boy border stickers for my project that was featured on the SRM blog yesterday.  I made a baby bottle out of a skinny tube and made a tag to go along with it.

Some close-ups:
I took the cap off the tube and put it upside down on a cutting mat and carefully cut out the top part for the nipple to go through.

I layered the "It's a boy" sticker right on a piece of grosgrain ribbon.

It just so happens that CAS-ual Fridays is having a "Hey Baby" challenge this week!  Im going to link this project up!  They are going to pick a Guest Designer from the people who participate with this challenge.  Head on over and check it out and good luck if you enter!
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it.  I hope happy finds you wherever you are today!
