{12 months}

It's my turn on the SRM blog today! I have always had a "thing" for calendars!  I love filling in the month with activities and appointments.  I love being able to look at a glance and see what is going on in the week ahead.  Using SRM stickers and a dry erase calendar, I have made a perpetual calendar that will make organizing my family's activities so easy!

I found a great dry erase calendar at my local office supply store, I have since seen something similar (and less expensive!) at Target.  I bought some magnet sheets and a role of magnets at my local craft supply store. I then adhered all of the stickers from the SRM Calendar Companion sheet and adhered them to white card stock.  I cut them out and added a small strip of magnet on the back of each one.  I adhered a full magnet sheet on the back of the calendar for storage of the pieces that I'm not using for any given month.  I also used the large Calendar Numbers.

This is how I store all the pieces of the calendar:

SRM has a full compliment of stickers that could be used for this project!  This would be a fun project to do with your kids, it would be a wonderful monthly activity for them to set up their own calendar.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope happy finds you in the most meaningful of ways, friends!

{pink} so sweet

I don't get to work with pink very much being the momma to 3 boys!  A friend of mine recently had a sweet baby girl who unfortunately has some medical issues that are slowly but surely being resolved.  This sweet girl has been the recipient of a lot of prayer and cyber hugs from all over.  She is going to bring great joy to her family, this I know. I wanted to share the card I made for her.

 So Sweet.

Paper: MME, The Girl's Paperie, Stickers: SRM, Punches: Marvy Uchida

Lots of SRM on this one, borders, fancy and loops.  Black isn't a traditional color for a baby card, but I like how the black dotted paper brings out the type in the pink paper scallops.  A somewhat sophisticated look with the scallops preventing it from being overly so, no?

I'm off to continue my search for a used card for the boys.  What an eye-opening experience this has been!  I am amazed at what people are asking for card that are 10 years old!  Hoping I can find just the right amount of safety and style.  :)

{sympathy} X2

Very recently, I've had 2 friends experience the painful loss of loved ones.  Sadly, I live no where near these ladies so I am unable to convey my sympathies in person.  :(  As a card maker, making sympathy cards is very difficult for me, and for everyone I would imagine, but store bought cards would not do.  Not for these friends.

Caring Thoughts

As a card maker, what type of card do you find challenging to make?

Today I'm hoping to catch up with some challenges at MSW.  I was excited to find out yesterday that I won a $$15 GC to the Crop Stop store!  :)  I'm hoping they have some of the new MME...

Happy Saturday, friends.  :)

{project life}

Project Life.  Do you or don't you?  I didn't until I had the chance to do a layout for SRM in a Project Life format.  I think I might be a little hooked.  ;)  While I still will scrap my 8.5x11 layouts, I think I might give PL a try.  I can see actual completed albums in my very near future!

I bought a package of page protectors by We R memory Keepers that had a nice variety of layout formats.  I chose this one first because I loved the long 2x12 strip on the left of the page - just perfect for a title!

Beach Fun

I used the new  SRM Labels by the Dozen (Everyday Brights) and some Summer Sentiment Stickers.  Here are some close-ups.  I love how the stickers look when applied directly to the photos!

Now if I can make sure I spend a little time each month working on this I will be all set!

Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope a little bit of happy finds you today!

{msw} card sketch

A new month always means a new card sketch from Lucy at My Sketch World!  You can check out the blog to see what both the card and layout designers did with the new sketches.

August Card Sketch

Hello Friend

Paper and Embellishment: MME, Sticker Sentiment: SRM, Pearls: Recollections

I replaced the hexagons with the kite embellishment and pearls.  I love the zig zag stitch and scallop stickers from the new border stickers at SRM!  I saw on my friend, Katie's FB page that Crop Stop is having a Kite Challenge and Im linking this card up.  :)

We are also having an Olympic Celebration Crop during August!  Hope you can join us!
