It will soon be 6 years ago that we lost my Dad to skin cancer.  There are a lot of things I miss about him.  His sparkly blue eyes, his fleshy jowls when I kissed him on the cheek and the way he said my name.
It was hard to watch him suffer.  I know he is in a better place now.

This is how I picture him, where the "big ones" never get away!

I made this layout for Malin's Color Challenge over at My Sketch World.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

  1. Oh Jan - I was admiring your words and the beautiful white on white elements - then I focused on the photo with the wings and heart and I'm wiping away tears now. Never been moved to tears by a layout before..ever.
    Just beautiful.

  2. WOW! What a perfect layout! I love it. I am very sorry you lost your Dad.

  3. This just gave me chills. Jan, this is such a beautiful layout representing such a wonderful thought. Love it!

  4. Aww, Jan, hugs! The layout is beautiful, just as I'm sure he was.

  5. Such a beautiful tribute Jan. All I can say is WOW!

  6. This made me smile from ear-to-ear --- I'm sure your dad is doing the same --- admiring his creative and loving daughter!

If you want to be happy, be.
