{valentine tubes}

I'm up on the SRM blog today with these fun Valentine mini tubes!  I used two sticker sets, Stickers By The Dozen, We've Got Your Border to decorate these fun little tubes!  I filled mine with Pixie Stix powder, but any small sized Valentine candy would work.  :)  Perfect for a Valentine exchange at your child's school or a little surprise left for someone special!

{stitches and stickers and bags...oh my}

While the My Sketch World board is undergoing some yearly maintenance, I've been working on some of the fun card challenges Lucy has given us this month. 

 

The first card is for a recipe challenge based on a beautiful card by my friend, Malin. To make our card we have to use 1 pattern paper, 1 piece of card stock, 4 flowers, 4 buttons and 1 sentiment.

 

I found a felt flower with a pretty big opening in the center and decided to fill it up with the required flowers and buttons.  The 3 brads have flowers on them and then there is the felt flower and the 4 buttons fill in the gaps nicely.

 



 

Here is a close up. I used an SRM sticker border and sentiment to finish my card.

 

 

Another challenge included using a bingo card.  I used a card off of a 12x 12 sheet of bingo cards from Teresa Collins.  I had it pretty much finished but thought the card was too stark against the pale papers so I slipped it in an SRM glassine bag and "stitched" it shut with some sticker stitches. 

  

 

 I added a thank you sentiment from the new Stickers By The Dozen Thank You set to the glassine bag. 

 

 

Love the vintage feel this card has, I haven't done vintage in a while and it seems like that was all I was attracted to at Archivers this week!  :)

SRM is debuting some awesome new stickers and products at CHA this month!  I've used 2 new products on this winter card - new sticker stitches and a glassine bag!

 

Here are the Sticker Stitches, aren't they great?  I love to do real stitching on my projects, either by hand or machine, but that takes time and sometimes I need to finish a card quickly-these stickers are a fabulous substitute for the real thing!

The small glassine bag holds a doily and snowflake topped tag that you could write a personal message on.

I'm loving all the sneaks of the new product coming out at CHA this year!  Ive just signed up for my LSS's garage sale next month!   I get to purge my supplies (and possibly organize my room in the process!) and earn credit right in time for all the new product to hit the shelves!

Today is my last day at the Just Imagine Crafts blog.  I had a wonderful time guesting with their awesome Design Team this month!  :)  Thanks for having me, Just Imagine!

 

I have yet to tire of, or find all the possible combinations for, the Kreaxions Punch #914! Today I have made a corner bookmark with a punched border.

 



 

For the border I used the cut away pieces from previous projects.  I then added the beautiful scalloped pieces for the trim.  I used the circle cutter to add a small circle to the snowflake so I could add the heart button to it.

 

 

I didn't use a tutorial for mine, I just figured it out as I went along, but I did find this tutorial for those of you who are interested.  It is pretty close to what I did and you can make it your own as you go.

{snow globe}

Merry Christmas Eve, friends!  It's here, are you ready?  :)  I have much to do after a bout of food poisoning had me in bed nearly all day yesterday.  :( 

 

When my sisters and nieces were visiting in November for our annual Christmas shopping trip I loved the holiday displays at Sears.  They had these huge jars turned upside down with sparkling trees inside with a layer of "snow".  I took a photo, as I'm prone to do when I see awesome inspiration, and new I wanted to try it on a smaller scale. 

 

This is what I came up with.

 

 

The SRM Winter Sticker Sentiments were the perfect addition!  After placing the stickers on the jar I used my stippling brush and 'pounced" some white in over them to give them a "frosty" appearance.

 

This is one of those projects that looks better in real life - I photographed it from every angle but just couldn't capture the magical feeling it has.
