{sew much fun} TPV

This week's challenge over at The Paper Variety is all about sewing!  Machine, hand or faux-it's all good!

I love to sew on my cards and layouts!  For this week's layout I got out the embroidery thread and did a lot of hand sewing.  I love to hand sew!  I find it relaxes me.  I really should learn to sew on fabric, but for now I will stick to paper.  *laugh*  I added a bit of machine stitching to my layout as well.

Here is a close-up of my hand stitching:

{day 7} MSW

I don't even like to think how far behind I am on my sketches for the My Sketch World Sketch-A-Thon.  :(  

Lucy created some awesome sketches for us to play with!  There is still plenty of time to get in on the action!  You have until March 3rd to upload your sketches and there are 20 to choose from!

{card sketch} the paper variety

Abby created an awesome sketch for this week's challenge at The Paper Variety! 

I used the patterns on the paper for the sketch elements and added a bit of trim and pearls.  That's it, folks! Making cards doesn't have to be rocket science, it can be as easy or as detailed as you want it.  With Brian being sick I haven't had a whole lot of time to be crafty so I had to work fast.  :)

{day 4} MSW

The Sketch-A-Thon at My Sketch World is in full force!  You should see all the amazing projects in the gallery!  Lucy just announced the new Card & Layout DT and I'm happy to say I will be staying on another 6 months!  :)  So happy they haven't tired of me yet!  *laugh*

The challenge along with this sketch was to make it a masculine card.

I'm not sure mine is masculine, but I think a boy wouldn't mind receiving it!

I have to keep this short and sweet. My littlest is home with strep throat.  :(

{msw} day 5

For each new sketch Lucy posts for the My Sketch World  Sketch-A-Thon she adds an additional challenge with it.  If you post the sketch as is without the challenge you get one draw for the prizes.  If you do the sketch with the challenge you get 3 draws!  For day 5, which happened to be yesterday, the challenge was to have it uploaded into the gallery by 11:00 last night.  I had some time to play yesterday and got it done!

Day 5 Sketch:

My boys all have the same initials, thus the math equation for the title!  :)  These photos are from the first day of school last fall.  Oldest DS has since cut his hair.  Patience wins out every time!  *laugh* I used some more of that Three Bugs in a Rug paper and might have to hit my LSS up for more!

{msw} sketch-a-thon

It is time to celebrate!  My Sketch World is celebrating 5 years of sketchy goodness!   Lucy has created such a wonderful creative environment at My Sketch World.  The sweetest ladies around hang out there! 

Please join us this month for our Sketch-A-Thon!  Lucy will debut 10 new sketches and 10 of her favorite sketches from 2010.  There will be a nice mix of both layout and card sketches, so everyone will be happy!
