Wishing all of my American friends, wherever you may be, a Happy Thanksgiving! For those of you not celebrating Thanksgiving today, I wish that happy finds you today in the smallest and most meaningful of ways.
It has been a busy week and I was just now able to finish up the last 2 cards for this week's challenges for the Card Sharks contest at the Nook. The first challenge of this, the second week of the contest, is based on the card game of Bridge. Lilith's clever challenge is to use wood or nails with a nature theme on our card. Wood and nails being something a bridge is made of. I told you, clever, right? :) I used some older Martha Stewart wood grained felt ribbon with a pretty layered poinsettia with gold beads in the middle for the "nails".
Papers: Graphic 45 and MME, Flower: Jolee's, Ribbon: Martha Stewart, Sentiment: SRM
Im linking this card up over at CASE Study (#67) too. Kryssi Ng has been the inspiration all month and Ive been meaning to play and this card fits the bill this week. :)
The second challenge is based on the card game, Kings in the Corner. The challenge is to make a card fit for royalty. I had some adorable SRM Princess stickers in my stash that I have been wanting to use. I paired them with some pretty pink (loads of pink!) MME papers.
Papers: MME, Punches: EKSuccess and Marvy Uchida,, Stickers: SRM, Ribbon: STrano Designs, Flower: Prima, Other: machine stitching
Here is a close-up of the ribbon bow, they are my favorite as of late.
Looking forward to what challenges the next week brings!
